Eyebrows truly are the framing features to your face and now is a better time than ever to show off a full pair, but not all of us were blessed with bushy brows. If you’re reading this, you either over plucked your brows in the 90s, or have never truly owned a thick enough pair, but not to despair, follow these simple steps to achieve beautiful brows in no time at all!

1. Don’t touch

As addictive as plucking might be, give your brows a bit of breathing space to allow them to grow back. Eyebrows can take up to four months to start growing back on average, so don’t feel let down if you don’t see immediate results.

2. Condition

Conditioning your brows with the right nutrients and vitamins will encourage hair growth and speed up the whole process in general, so purchase a brow conditioner and apply it at night to speed things along. If you’d rather opt for something more natural, try rubbing a bit of castor oil, or avocado oil into your brows before going to bed.

3. Gap fillers

You’ll probably get to that awkward in-between hair growth stage that’ll make you feel like some sort of bushy brow beast, but don’t give up just yet! Keep those fuzzy critters in check by lining and filling in your brows with an eyebrow pencil and powder. Blend your brows with 2 different shades of brown to get a softer look.

4. Distraction techniques

You’ll want to distract gazes away from your eye area and onto anywhere else as not to draw attention to your patchy brows. Getting a fringe cut, or opting for a bold lip are both great distraction techniques for when you’re growing out your brows. Try not to wear too much eye makeup, like liquid eyeliner as this will only draw further attention to your eyes and your brows.

5. Try tint

Eyebrow tinting is not only a hot SS16 trend, it’s also a clever way to camouflage your brows while you grow them out as blonde brows are less noticeable brows. Go easy on the tint and use a bleaching formula that’s specifically designed for facial hair as not to cause damage to your hair, or skin. Your best bet is to get them professionally done at the salon the first time round.

6. And tidy

You’ve been as patient as a saint and your eyebrows have finally grown back, which means it’s time to tidy up those unruly beasts with your trusty old tweezers. The safest way to go about it is to draw an outline of the shape you want for your eyebrows by using an eyebrow pencil or eyeliner. Once you’ve drawn your desired shape, pluck the hairs that sit outside of your pencilled outline and voila! You really can’t go wrong.

Just remember, patience is a virtue and fuller looking eyebrows are definitely achievable! Do you have an eyebrow growing success story you’d like to share? Drop us a comment below!
