“More lashes, we need more lashes!”

The focus went from the lips to the eyes, especially with dramatic top and bottom lashes and a cut-crease style eyeshadow. The beauty icon at the time, was no other than Twiggy who brought the craze on dramatic lashes to create larger looking eyes. False eyelashes took on a whole new popularity by placing on both top and bottom for a real retro ‘flapper’ effect. Eyeliner was also one of the important tools in order to accentuate the eyes. Instead of the cat eye effect, liner was doubled up on the end of the lid and white-line were drawn down over the upper lid to inner corner of the eye.
